Shape the future of Royal Navy submariner training
In strategic partnership with the Royal Navy, we’ll be inspiring and motivating the 600 submariners passing through the Royal Navy Submarine Training Centre (RNSTC) each year, so they get the most from a range of 200 different courses.
The 60 specialist-designed classrooms will inspire and motivate our submariners with new and exciting training tools and technologies at this centre of submariner excellence. In fact, we’re aiming to make this state-of-the-art learning experience an internationally renowned training centre.
Sound exciting? You could be one of 33 colleagues to join this brand-new specialist Capita team. You’ll receive a competitive salary, pension and bespoke benefits you can choose to suit your personal circumstances. What’s more, being based at HMNB Clyde you’ll also have access to on-site car parking, catering facilities and shops, and a site bus service to travel around the base. And for a small annual fee you’ll have access to the on-site swimming pool, gym and ski slope.

If you already have SC, this may be carried over from your current role, depending on whether it’s transferrable. Background check timeframes depend on the level of security vetting required for the role, on the candidate completing the necessary paperwork, and on external vetting sources providing information to support the completion of the process. On Saturday 23rd March 2024 representatives from Team Fisher attended Drumfork Careers Fest, the first ever event for employers local to HMNB Clyde to showcase job vacancies, apprenticeships and mentoring opportunities.
The idea originated from the Drumfork Team considering how to support the local community. Shelley Gillmore, Drumfork Manager said ‘We work with a number of supportive services who offer help, advice and professional development to service leavers and the wider community”.
There were 27 exhibitors including Skills Development Scotland, NHS Scotland, Grahams Construction, Forces Employment Charity, Rolls Royce, Babcock and Royal Navy.
Approximately 150 local people attended the event to discuss potential opportunities.
Michelle Theobalds, HR Business Partner was supported by Robert Davidson, Training Planning Co-ordinator and Sophie Werrett, Timetabler. Michelle said ‘It was great to work collaboratively with Robert and Sophie who are part of the Team in Scotland. We promoted our new roles and signposted candidates to our Capita careers page’.
