Wellbeing can mean different things to different people which is why we offer support across a wide range of topics to help our people better navigate both their work and their home lives.
We’re also committed to create a working environment that protects, supports and promotes the wellbeing of all our colleagues. And that starts with ensuring our values are applied to everything we do.
Our colleagues have access to a wealth of information, guidance and support on our Wellbeing Hub:
Mental wellbeing
This includes information and support resources for a number of issues related to mental health, including depression and anxiety, resilience, stress, self-care and sleep. Every colleague can access counselling services 24/7, 365 days a year, through our Employee Assistance Programme, provided by Care First.
There are also weekly webinars, events scheduled throughout Mental Health Awareness Week and for World Mental Health Day; and we have dedicated Mental Health Allies and Mental Health First Aiders throughout Capita.
Physical wellbeing
This includes information and tips around nutrition, health checks and risks, physical activity, acute and chronic care and prevention.
Colleagues also have access to our cycle to work scheme; reduced membership fees at a large number of gyms/exercises clubs across the UK; access to a health screening including an eye care voucher, lifestyle assessment and personal health coaching; and the chance to take part in team sport days and challenges.
Social wellbeing
This includes pastimes, volunteering, engagement, work-life balance, and information and support associated with domestic violence and relationships. We have eight Employee Network Groups (ENGs) led by colleagues which offer a place for employees to raise awareness around diversity, share ideas, provide support and give career advice.
Colleagues are also encouraged to take paid volunteer days each year to support local community and personal initiatives.
Financial wellbeing
This includes support with planning and budgeting, retirement, investing and saving, as well as information for line managers. In addition to this, we have a range of benefits available to our colleagues to help them feel more in control of their finances.
This includes the Level App which allows you to access your salary flexibly and helps you manage your money; Munnypot savings ISA to save directly from your salary; and we offer a medical cash plan and income protection.
