This enables Royal Navy engineers to operate and maintain some of the world’s most advanced equipment, from Type 45 Destroyers to Vanguard-class submarines. At Capita, we’re focused on supporting our colleagues with professional recognition and development. As part of Project Selborne, we have great opportunities for subject matter experts (SME) trainers and military staff to dual professionalise as trainers using a development pathway.
- We’re the largest corporate member of the Society of Education and Training (SET) with free membership for Capita employees working on Project Selborne. We offer Professional Status for both Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) and Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) - subject to completing the relevant professional standards.
- We also offer Level 3 awards in Education and Training qualifications for all employees, with Levels 4 and 5 being developed for the future.
- Capita is the largest user of the HOW 2 teacher development resources which allows educators to lead their own learning, share expertise, work collegially to learn and apply evidence-based teaching (EBT) techniques. Our 60 HOW 2 Champions drive awareness and promote strategy usage to support our objective to modernise training in the Royal Navy. HOW 2 is a national pathway to collaborate with colleges across the UK which brings opportunity to achieve different levels of development and awards.
