You will assist the Scheme Operations Treasury Manager in providing the Scheme Finance Treasury Service to our clients, Scheme Finance Team and Pension Operation Teams.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
- As directed by the Treasury Operations Manager the processing of accounting and treasury transactions to update the accounting and treasury records for client accounts
- Provide scheme finance and accounting reports as requested by Treasury Operations Manager, Scheme Finance and Scheme Accountants
Key tasks
- Recording and processing of daily bank receipts from account statements
- Receive, record and processing cheque receipts for all clients
- Preparing and posting journals for receipts in relevant systems
- Updating the member records with receipts in relevant systems
- Liaising with Finance and Pension Operation Teams
- Prepare client treasury reports and reconciliations as required
- Process complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent re-occurrence
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of accounting software packages
- Experience of working in an accounts department
- Bank reconciliations
- Excel - able to sort, filter and organise data and produce easily readable spreadsheets
- Ensure that all data is accurately processed particularly in relation to payment of monies
Desirable
- Understanding the various types of pension schemes and terminology
- Experience of working in a Treasury team
