Treasury Assistant - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Key responsibilities

• As directed by the Treasury Operations Manager the processing of accounting and treasury transactions to update the accounting and treasury records for client accounts
• Provide scheme finance and accounting reports as requested by Treasury Operations Manager, Scheme Finance and Scheme Accountants

Key tasks   

• Recording and processing of daily bank receipts from account statements
• Receive, record and processing cheque receipts for all clients
• Preparing and posting journals for receipts in relevant systems
• Updating the member records with receipts in relevant systems
• Liaising with Finance and Pension Operation Teams
• Prepare client treasury reports and reconciliations as required
• Process complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent re-occurrence

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Experience of accounting software packages
• Experience of working in an accounts department
• Bank reconciliations
• Excel - able to sort, filter and organise data and produce easily readable spreadsheets
• Ensure that all data is accurately processed particularly in relation to payment of monies

Desirable

• Understanding the various types of pension schemes and terminology
• Experience of working in a Treasury team
