A Senior Voice Operations Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining a telecommunications system for an organization. The job involves ensuring the smooth operation of voice and video communications systems, managing telecommunications equipment, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to telecommunications as well acting as a point of escalation for Voice Engineers
Job Description
Support the day-to-day operation of telecommunication systems for internal and external customers.
Manage telecommunications equipment, including PBX, voice gateways, video conferencing systems, and other related equipment.
Monitor and analyse telecommunications system performance to identify potential issues, proactively addressing these.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications, including network connectivity, equipment failures, and software issues, including more complex technical issues.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate telecommunications systems with other enterprise systems, such as email and instant messaging.
Develop and maintain telecommunications system documentation, including procedures, policies, and user manuals.
Perform telecommunications system upgrades and maintenance tasks, including software and hardware upgrades.
Implement security measures to protect the telecommunications system from unauthorized access and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Provide training and support to end-users on the use of telecommunications systems.
