Here at Capita Local Government Services we have a great opportunity for someone to join our friendly and supportive team as an Overpayment Recovery Officer/Court Officer. This is a great role for someone who is passionate about providing a first class customer experience, someone who is organised and enjoys working as part of a team.
You would be responsible for managing communications primarily through email from claimants who have been over paid in their benefits, working with them to resolve the challenges that they are facing in the best way possible. You will also be required to attend Bexley Civic office and Dartford County Court up to 2 days a month.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
Progress recovery of overpaid Housing Benefit invoices after the automated recovery cycle has ended
To organise individual workload to ensure recovery time-scales are met and meet team priorities
To achieve targets and objectives in line with Performance Management procedures and EG Work Manager
To complete daily monitoring sheets for Performance Management procedures
To raise any issues with Team Leader in good time.
Preparing Court Documents and attending Dartford County Court.

Computer Literate – MS Office Applications
Strong team working ethic (Knowledge Sharing)
Self motivated and team player
Communication skills, written and oral
Good business letter writing skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good organisational skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
