Salary: £22,542 per annum - Option to join our ‘out of hours’ standby roster for enhanced month pay which could earn you an additional monthly £200 plus £25 per emergency call.

Start Date: Tuesday 18th March 2025

Location: Hybrid working between our Dearne Valley office and home.

Training: 4 weeks and 3 days (Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm) and will be office based. This will then be followed by a further 3 weeks in office taking live calls in a training environment. Candidates will then move to hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Hours: Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week.

Shifts – Working Monday to Sunday – 5 days out of 7. Shifts are rotational and will be between 7am and 10:30pm.

As part of our Southern Water Team, you will support customers with a wide range of high priority enquires. Customers may be experiencing instances of no water, a drop in pressure or in extreme circumstances, flooding in their homes. You will be the person they turn to in their hour of need.

Job Description

  • Helping customers over the phone who have an emergency with their water supply
  • Taking ownership of enquiries & valuing each customer

  • A good listener, who can be empathetic, show patience and adapt their behaviours to suit different callers
