Join Electranet as a pivotal Business Development Manager, bringing expert sales knowledge across our entire portfolio. You’ll own opportunities from qualification to successful deal closure, ensuring they align with Electranet’s capabilities.
Key responsibilities include coordinating sales, bids, and presales efforts to create compelling customer propositions and navigating governance processes based on deal value.
As a self-motivated, customer-facing Business Development Manager, your communication and relationship-building skills will shine. Your deep understanding of customer business goals and priorities, along with your comprehensive knowledge of the Electranet portfolio, will enable you to deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations.

Job Description
The Electranet Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the engagement and sales into new clients.
What you’ll be doing:
Opportunity Management: Own and manage Electranet sales opportunities, maintaining an up-to-date ‘live’ opportunity pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce
Data Accuracy: Accurately maintain information for all open opportunities in Salesforce where you are the opportunity owner.
Target Achievement: Deliver against targets and goals as outlined in your objectives and target letter, while adhering to Capita values.
Strategic Pricing: Own the “Win Price” and solution strategy, with an understanding of the overall P&L
Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Electranet Portfolio and an awareness of the wider Capita portfolio
Strategic Support: Support the Electranet Head of Business Development in developing the portfolio strategy and virtual team to drive improvements and innovation aligned with the business strategy
Governance Compliance: Maintain strong governance processes, adhering to group, divisional, and contractual compliance requirements and policies
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience selling into the UK Local Public Sector or Higher Education market
Proactive and Driven: You should be highly motivated to find and pursue new leads and opportunities
Exhibit relentless drive as a go-getter, with the confidence to pick up the phone and make things happen
Excellent Communicator: You must possess strong communication skills, allowing you to quickly build rapport with potential clients, through a variety of different methods (including verbal, written and presentation)
Innovative Thinker: Creative in your approach to sales, developing unique strategies to attract new business
Track record of selling: Possess an unwavering "hunter" mindset with a demonstrable solid sales background
Knowledge of the structured cabling and physical security markets would be ideal
The successful candidate will need to complete National Security Vetting
