As part of our Technology vertical, LPS Technology is responsible for managing technology-led accounts, secure services, and IT managed services. We are committed to client engagement, contract management, strategic planning, and P&L ownership, supported by our other internal departments in developing and delivering cutting-edge propositions.
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic leader to join our LPS Technology team as the Account Director focussing on the technology clients in our Local Public Service business, the role will be focusing on the management and ownership of public sector accounts. In this pivotal role, you will be the single point of contact for strategic clients, bringing together the breadth and depth of Capita's knowledge and experience to deliver outstanding services that exceed customer expectations. You will manage senior-level relationships with clients and executives at Board and CEO levels, ensuring the delivery of all contractual commitments and driving sustainable growth for Capita.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the single point of contact for strategic clients, managing senior-level relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Strategic Planning: Define and execute Capita’s strategy for public sector accounts, aligning with broader sector strategies.
Account Development: Develop and implement account plans, identifying opportunities to expand business scope and form strategic partnerships.
Contract Management: Oversee the management of contracts, ensuring all contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
Leadership and Advisory: Engage with senior client executives, providing strategic advice and leading major programmes in a public sector setting.
P&L Ownership: Manage the profit and loss for public sector accounts, driving financial performance and sustainable growth.
Innovation and Solution Development: Shape and commission work that meets clients' strategic objectives, leveraging technology-led opportunities.
Collaboration: Work alongside other LPS verticals (Local Government and Housing, Health and Education) to ensure cohesive sector strategy and engagement.
What we’re looking for:
You will be committed to an approach which includes clarity of direction, excellent communication, swift decision making and values-based leadership. Able to collaborate across organisational boundaries to drive and efficient and effective delivery proposition.
You will use your personality, leadership and collaborative skills, and your emotional intelligence to lead your matrix team and work with others.
Experience of leading in a matrix environment to deliver excellent outcomes for customers
You will have an extensive, and varied, business experience across the Public sector
You will be capable of sustained engagement at the most senior levels and being an advisor to senior executives and council members
You will have had a varied career with a combination of significant experience in commissioning of services, business development and/or management consulting, underpinned by rounded general management experience.
Experience of transforming public services to achieve better outcomes, improve efficiency and performance
