Derby Homes, an arms-length management organisation created by Derby City Council to maintain its housing estate, has chosen Capita’s One OPENHousing management system to enable delivery of a high-quality housing service in the city.
Having increased its service to include delivery of homelessness, housing options and advice, Derby Homes needed a solution which offered a holistic view of activity across its 12,500 properties, choosing Capita One’s OPENHousing software to deliver a fully integrated system. Having a single version of the truth delivered through a unified platform means Derby Homes will be equipped to fully understand the interactions between service areas, ensuring that services to tenants and leaseholders are delivered to the highest standards through the most efficient methods.
The One software enables Derby Homes to better deploy its valuable resources through enhanced workflows. Having recently restructured its general needs housing management service, its patch-based housing officers will be re-allocated according to need, with OPENHousing providing information on which services are in highest demand and where.
Derby Homes works flexibly, and a web accessed system enables remote capability for those working off-site. More than half of Derby Homes employees (250+) work outside of the office environment. OPENHousing caters to the mobile requirements of those who work in peoples’ homes, fostering an inclusive and flexible working culture within the organisation.
