Shape better services as a Senior Pensions Data Technician – GMPe Projects

Fully Home based or home/office hybrid option available

You will be working within the GMPe team to deliver the requirements for projects and develop solutions for benefit design changes following GMP equalisation which will include performing complex extraction, analysis and processing of bulk pensions data.

This role is perfect if you have technical pensions experience and want to work in a project-based role with a clear succession plan to further your career. Study support is available for the PMI qualification.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead on the delivery of assigned projects and scheme events
  • Review the work of Pensions Data Technicians and provide feedback and technical support
  • Regularly review the effectiveness and efficiencies of existing systems and controls and make suggestions to continually enhance service delivery and improve processes
  • Running and specifying data extracts from the administration system including bespoke reports
  • Perform bulk calculations in Excel
  • Identify opportunistic income work and provide cost estimates to the client and commercial teams
  • Provide project updates and time scales to the GMPe Manager

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working on Occupational Pension schemes is essential at a technical level
  • Project based experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Advanced excel skills, (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, ability to manipulate data in bulk, data reports etc.)
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Effective at delivering feedback and ability to coach others
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
