We currently have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced presales professional to join our market leading team.

As our Presales Consultant you will work on high profile projects for our Public Services division driving growth across our varied business areas. Whilst some of these projects have technical elements there are a great many other areas that they will cover from process design to staffing, software to procurement. We are looking for someone with a good breadth of knowledge who understands how to work on pre sales projects of varying types and has a proven track record in this area.

In return you will play a pivotal role within the sales team, shaping the future of our division and working within a talented and cohesive team with varied ways to learn and develop plus scope to progress within this role.

This role is primarily home based however there is some expected travel to client sites on an ad hoc basis which will be fully expensed.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • ensure the performance and quality of output align with business strategy, meeting deadlines and producing accurate pricing and designs.

  • directly engage with customers, attend meetings, and tailor responses to their needs, with a focus on securing new external business and leveraging internal opportunities.

  • offer subject matter expertise in bids, ensuring the quality and relevance of proposals to meet bid requirements.

  • drive innovative solutions for customer needs and collaborate with Sales & Marketing to develop a comprehensive pre-sales and sales knowledgebase.

  • simplify and standardize pre-sales processes, tools, and documents, and maintain alignment with vendors for up-to-date product information and, where needed, technology roadmaps.

  • represent the company at industry events to generate leads and provide pre-sales support to influence sales opportunities and service demand.

What we’re looking for:

  • a successful proven track record as a presales consultant

  • be able to evidence experience of defining and delivering innovative, cost competitive and repeatable solutions, ensuring solutions comply with security and data protection requirements

  • strong understanding of Capita service delivery and support, along with demonstrable knowledge of the ITIL framework

  • knowledge and view of Capita’s target markets with a good understanding of current and upcoming trends and how they affect Capita and our customers

  • able to build effective relationships, internal and external and at all levels

  • outcome driven against targets with a strong focus on execution, as well as having a proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients

  • able to manage competing priorities for own activities, to deliver against agreed priorities and deadlines, escalating if required
