We’re committed to providing a fair, inclusive, barrier-free recruitment process for everyone. We have two routes to apply, depending on whether you’re applying for a professional/experienced hire role or within our customer service area.

Professional/experienced hire roles

Here’s what you can expect of the process when applying for professional and experienced hire roles – simply toggle the + sign to learn more about each stage:

You can apply to any of our vacancies online through our recruitment system, Workday*.

When you hit ‘Apply’ on a job advert, you’ll need to either create an account or sign into your account. Then you’ll need to complete several fields within the application form, including your contact details, and you’ll be asked to upload a copy of your CV. For some roles, you don’t need to include a CV – if so, it will say this within the advert itself.

    * The online application form provides a responsive interface with the ability to zoom in and is compatible with:

    • common screen readers
    • focus indication and keyboard support for non-mouse users
    • speech-to-text software for hands-free users
    • colour and contrast enhancements provided by assistive technology.

After you’ve applied, you’ll be contacted by one of our sourcing team to discuss the role, your CV and any questions you might have.

This conversation generally takes place over the phone, or you can request a video interview if you prefer.

We’ll invite you to join us for an online interview using Microsoft Teams, a web-based video interview platform. We use it to conduct face-to-face video interviews and assessments, and this can include competency-based interviews, presentations and informal role discussions with different interviewers associated with the role you applied for.

We’ll let you know the time, date and venue for the interview and discussion in advance, to give you time to prepare for it.

If you pass the interview stage, you’ll need to submit certain documents as part of vetting process. We’ll conduct a background check based on the documents you submit, which include proof of person (passport, birth certificate), proof of address and proof of National Insurance number.

You’ll also need to fill in your personal details on the Security Watchdog portal and sign a declaration of consent for them to carry out checks. These could include financial probity, basic criminality, an ID check and address check.

We’ll be in touch by phone to let you know if you’re successful and to offer you the role before we send you written confirmation pending vetting. Once you’ve been successfully vetted, you’ll then receive your contract.

As soon as you join us, you’ll kick-off your professional journey with the Capita induction program. It’ll get you up to speed on everything you need to know at the very start.

We look forward to welcoming you and working with you as a trusted and proud member of the Capita family.
