The judging panel, from client organisations, academia, industry bodies and the media, described the project as a ‘game-changer’.
The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Awards are in their 20th year and considered the benchmark for quality within the consulting industry.
The award was for our digital transformation programme with Southampton City Council, which began last year, to help Southampton deliver better digital services for residents, as well as address the financial challenges faced by all local authorities.
Capita used technology, customer insight and business intelligence to review and transform almost 200 customer end-to-end journeys and introduce new ways of working.
The programme secured significant savings within the first six months and will hit a run-rate of more than £7m in 2017/18 and beyond.
“Being recognised in this way places us amongst the very best in the industry. I’m delighted for all the team and especially proud of the way we are working in partnership with the Council every day.” Ben Eggleston, managing director, Capita Transformation and Health Advisory.
