Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure announces today a new partnership with Engenie to deliver an electric vehicle charging network across the UK.
Engenie provides local authorities and landlords with rapid and ultra-rapid charging facilities, catering to both consumers and commercial fleet and taxi operators. Engenie stations are installed for free, with no reliance on Government subsidies; the company has recently received a substantial capital investment from Investec.
Simon Reeves, director, technology, Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure said “This is an exciting time to be partnering with Engenie. We recognise that our local authority and private sector landlord clients need to be dealing with lowering emissions and providing the necessary infrastructure for fast electric vehicle charging in our cities and regions. This is a great fit alongside our existing intelligent transport systems consultancy work that provide systems and technology for highways infrastructure across the UK. We are committed to using technology to help make our transport more efficient, sustainable and accessible for road users as well as Local Authorities and Government.”
