Hear from Laura, a recruitment supervisor at Capita, to find out how we create connections with candidates to help them find new opportunities.
Here at Capita Recruiting Partnership Project (RPP), we concentrate on the candidate side of things, processing Army candidates and finding new, innovative ways of getting exposure for the Army.
Our candidates are at the heart of everything do, so we work closely with them from the very start of their journey into an Army career. We source them by communicating with schools, bringing in soldiers to talk with pupils, and planting the seeds about a potential new career. We then act as guardians, getting to know the candidates who apply, and working with everyone individually to get them through to the very end of the process. Our team works together to fill in the blanks for our candidates and open huge opportunities for these individuals in their lives moving forward.
By going into careers fairs at schools and speaking with parents, we provide candidates with all the information they need to make the decision about whether to come in for an interview with us. Once they’ve gone through the entire process with us, we work with our military colleagues to provide our new junior soldiers with ceremonies to celebrate their achievements before they take their next steps in their career.
In this role no two days are the same, but you always work out what needs to be done to reach the ultimate goal of candidates walking through those gates at the training camp. Helping someone make a difference in their life is rewarding, and you leave work every day feeling empowered and satisfied with what you’ve done.
