Becoming a Team Leader at Capita:

As a Team Leader you will ensure client delivery requirements are achieved through effective management, support and supervision of a team of up to 15 Tracing Specialists. You will empower the team to improve individual and team performance in order to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Team Leader. This role enjoys a high level of independent judgement, and you will be required to manage your own daily priorities.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure that the Tracing Specialists are productive, by providing daily MI to the Management Team.
  • Ensure Mailbox’s are kept up to date
  • Complaints and breaches logged, and internal process followed.
  • All MIs to be updated as required and escalate issues.
  • Be aware of Workloads and priorities as per SLAs – highlighting any issues straight away.
  • SharePoint updated in 24 or 48 hours depending on the client, forecasted, rejected, or queried.  
  • Ensure agreed SLAs are hit and results are returned as per Project Briefs and client contracts.
  • Work on efficiencies and improvement, allowing us to increase volumes and bring on new initiatives and ideas.
  • Be involved in workshops to improve processes.
  • Ensure ideas are shared and Project Briefs raised to line manager and data engineers.
  • Road Mapping on new projects and procedures.
  • Ensure the team have completed their Learnings.
  • Ensure that all staff members are referring to the policy/procedures.
  • Regular feedback to staff as required - 121s to be every 6 weeks.
  • Performance manages under performers.
  • Ensure work Is audited regularly, and any issues highlighted to the team.
  • Taking care of your own wellbeing to put you in better stead of supporting others with their wellbeing.
  • Continue to promote wellbeing and support others in the team and raise any suggestions with Management and the team on how we can better support wellbeing at work or outside of work.
  • Ensure work / life balance is promoted and actioned to get the downtime needed.

 Skills you need to succeed:

  • Previous experience of managing a team for a minimum of 3 years including the capability to plan and control activity and performance in relation to productivity, quality, and other key requirements
  • Proven ability to organise and manage personal and team workload to meet targets and deadlines
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in a variety of scenarios e.g. 1:1, Team meetings and Peer Meetings
  • Previous experience in undertaking 1:1s, Coaching and HR meetings
  • Results-orientated with the ability to think creatively and laterally.
  • Able to evidence establishing effective working relationships at different levels
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office
  • Able to analyse data, problem solve and make decisions confidently
  • Demonstrates a high level of effective task completion
  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a management team
  • Demonstrates ability to manage regular change
  • Financial service experience and Project management experience would be preferred
  • Excellent time management and manage projects through to completion

2.     Your personal information will be processed for the purpose of the recruitment process, including the assessment of qualifications, aptitudes and abilities required for the position for which you will be applying and/or future recruitment processes if you requested that by checking the relevant box below. 

3.     The legal basis for processing your personal data: 

a.     Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR (processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation incumbent on the controller) and Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR (processing is necessary to take action at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract) to the extent indicated in labor laws (including but not limited to, the extent resulting from Article 221 § 1 of the Labor Code, such a name and surname;; date of birth; contact detailed (correspondence address); education; employment record to date

4.     Your personal information will be transferred to processor outside the European Economic Area (EEA), located in United Kingdom as a part of a recruitment process and Hiring Managers located in different locations in the UK, Ireland and India. The transfer of personal data to India is based on the application of the Standard Contractual Clauses included in the Data Transfer Agreement (DTA), to which the Group company Capita located in India, is a signatory. The right to withdraw consent at any time is not affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

8.     The provision of your personal data to the extent provided by labor law, including in particular to the extent provided by Article 221 of the Labor Code, is a statutory obligation and at the same time is necessary for you to participate in the recruitment procedure. Failure to provide data will result in your inability to participate in the recruitment procedure. Your provision of other data is voluntary. 

9.     Your personal data will not be a subject to the automated decision-making, including profiling.
