St George’s Church of England Foundation School, based in Broadstairs, Kent, has signed a two year contract extension with Capita Managed IT Solutions. The new deal will see Capita continue to provide a complete managed IT service to the school until at least 2019.
The managed IT service provided by Capita supports teaching and learning outcomes for almost 1,400 pupils at the school and approximately 120 staff. Capita has supplied a managed IT service to the school since 2010. With the new extension lasting until 2019, Capita will have delivered almost a decade of continuous service to the school.
Over that period, Capita has helped the school deliver a number of significant projects; including the provision of IT infrastructure and services for the secondary school and a new primary phase constructed on the school’s site.
As part of the new extension Capita will continue to work with the school to support them with their IT vision. Services will include a further refresh of their network infrastructure and end user devices, continued transition to cloud technology, migration to Windows 10 and Office 2016.
The service will be supported by an onsite team of 3 engineers and specialist support provided by a central services team.
Ed Brown, Managing director, Capita Managed IT Solutions, said: "This extension and our long, successful relationship with St Georges, is a testament to the brilliant work our team has carried out over the years. We’re thrilled that the school has chosen to continue to work with us and we look forward to delivering some fantastic projects for them in the next two years."
