Capita’s software services business has been awarded the “Connected/Mobility Solution of the Year” title at the IT Europa European IT and Software Excellence Awards 2017.
Capita’s Advantage Impact solution scooped the award in recognition of how it has helped Liverpool YMCA to tackle homelessness and access to support services in the city.
The award celebrates the development of Liverpool YMCA’s revolutionary project – MainStay – created with the aim of providing improved access to short-term housing through housing support providers working together to share information, enabling those with the greatest need receive shelter.
Key to delivering this project, Liverpool YMCA wanted a new IT system which could be accessed by more than 50 partner agencies and local authorities, allow better sharing of information, and improve services – for which Advantage Impact perfectly fit the bill.
Advantage Impact is designed for organisations to use with service users, referral agencies and services for various functions such as assessing, referring, matching to services based on needs, risk, priority, and placing or signposting users.
MainStay has since evolved to be a Merseyside wide project, improving access to all support services through a single-assessment that matches vulnerable people to available services and enables progress and outcomes to be monitored online.
The success of the MainStay project means that 66% of applicants are now placed in accommodation within a week and one in four within 24 hours.
Anthony Singleton, Managing director, Capita's Advantage range of software solutions, said: "We are delighted that Advantage has been recognised at such a prestigious awards ceremony. It is testament to not only the great work our customers achieve, but also Advantage delivering on its aims of providing innovative, agile and relevant technology solutions to help drive results and improve end user services for our customer organisations."
