Job Description

Our Propositions

The Citizen Experience proposition family is focused on the interfaces between public services and the people they serve. These propositions aim to provide seamless services that are fast, effective, and human-centred experiences at the point of demand and where people need them most.

The Digital Business Services proposition family focuses on the core public services systems. It aims to increase productivity using data, technology and operational excellence to deliver secure, smart, efficient and effective services.

Combined, these propositions will deliver complex solutions that transform services for our customers and citizens. Examples of the services we provide are our Contact Centres, Assessment Services, Intelligent Communication, Procurement Services, and Revenue Maximisation, all of which are underpinned by world-class digital and technology services.

What you'll be doing :

  • Work with the relevant client, market and proposition teams to develop a plan and target Rail and Transport entities and successfully execute against client opportunities, engaging in advance of opportunities coming to market, ultimately, to generate new revenue.

  • Utilising market insight, buying patterns and client challenges, engaging and building relationships with our clients, and using wider Government frameworks as the route to market to win new business
  • You will be pivotal in delivering opportunities through to contract signature within the sector and proposition strategy.
  • Navigating the complexities of the Rail and Transport sectors, aligning those requirements to Capita’s capabilities, and your strategic approach to business development.

What we’re looking for

  • You will have extensive experience of business development in Rail and Transport and be capable of sustained engagement at senior levels as well as successful sales execution.
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience with propositions similar to the Capita Citizen Experience and Digital Business Services propositions and be able to work across a broad portfolio of services & capabilities.
  • You'll be an innovative and strategic thinker - capable of shaping and leading a client’s thinking and having strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, ‘can do’ and collaborative behaviours are a vital part of this role and underpin trust, facilitating the right collective mindset required to make a difference and most importantly allow both parties to thrive in leading the way rather than being led.
  • The primary success of the role is business growth, new customer acquisition and client satisfaction.

About Capita Growth:

Our Growth Function is one of Capita’s central corporate functions and is redesigning how we do business. We’re  improving and standardising our sales processes, and creating consistency in training, technology and knowledge sharing. We’re also multi-lingual, multi-functional and multi-talented. Join us and discover better as you empower our sales teams to focus on developing our business.

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive salary of £65,000-£75,000 dependent on experience
  • 23 days’ holiday (rising to 27) with the opportunity to buy extra leave
  • company matched pension, life assurance, a cycle2work scheme, 15 weeks’ fully paid maternity, adoption and shared parental leave, paternity pay of two week and plenty more
  • voluntary benefits designed to suit your lifestyle - from discounts on retail and socialising, to health & wellbeing, travel and technology
  • the opportunity to take a paid day out of the office, volunteering for our charity partners or a cause of your choice
  • access to our Employee Network Groups, which represent every strand of diversity and allow colleagues to connect and learn from each other on an open, inclusive platform
