On to the interview: I met with Alex Shaw (sales recruiter) and Kate Winton (sourcing delivery manager) at the office in Maidenhead a week later. I left the interview feeling positive; I genuinely felt that they had listened to what I had to say and took on board the potential I could bring to the business. The excitement of working with people that believe in you is unbelievably self-rewarding so I was really looking forward to this prospect. The prospect then became reality as I was offered the role shortly after!
Fast forward to now… it’s the third week in my new role and I feel part of the furniture- in the best way possible! I’ve been welcomed into the Capita family and met some really experienced and long-time serving members in the team. One of the first things I was asked was “How do you have your coffee?” - it’s the simple things that bring teams together and make you feel at home. It is this feeling throughout the recruitment process and into my first few weeks that has made me glad I chose Capita.
Since getting to know the team, witnessing them tapping on their keyboards and speaking passionately to clients, candidates and suppliers brings a smile to my face. Many people reading this might be sceptical…but I guess if you are lucky enough to be working at Capita you would understand - as I type this, I’m smiling.
I am excited about my future here.
